Draw up detailed design for top shutter
spindle drive concept is still OK, need new motor as the intended motor does not start up all the time (cheap….) am considering to get the same motor as dome rotation (DOGA)

Draw up detailed design for lower shutter
this was intended to use a spindle as well, I am worried that the shutter binds with only one spindle, so two are needed which are coupled with a tooth belt….

Control

Relay and control part halted awaiting new control design
Lights and main switches can be fitted along with new wiring

Electrics

Project halted awaiting new control design, original needs to be ripped out
as it is not as I want it (was a rush job in frustration to track problems)

CG-5 Mount
at the moment I just want to use the scope, however as soon as it becomes summer the mount is to be taken apart and worked to run better.
I have found the following issues

Altitude hinge point has play radial to the bold. this is due to cheap manufacturing,when adjusting the up/down screw things move up/don in the play before movign the head.

This will need a custom bold to be turned and a bush fitted in the RA part of the mount.

General overhaul and cleaning of bearing surfaces, as per several websites.

modification of the stepper drive to direct belt drive, as the current gears are way to sloppy
