He was in a hurry to join us, and in
doing so was not yet ready to face the bad world.
After he was born Gwyn started "grunting" and had to be send of
to the high dependency ward in Northwick Hospital. This was all a shock
for us, as during the pregnancy we never talked about that department ,
and suddenly you are standing there, touching your baby trough a Plexiglas
door while lots of wires are connected to him.
The nurses at Northwick are amazing, in a then horrible environment they make you feel at ease, even tough you go trough lost of conflicting emotions of hope and despair.
We (or better Gwyn) was lucky, as after
two weeks he was allowed to go home with a clean bill of health. Others in
high dependency and intensive car where not so lucky.
Our thoughts go out to those left behind.
Gwynedd was named after our favourite part of Wales, the nature is simply stunning over there.
